More support for EWRK
£400’s worth of books donated to EWRK
We are very pleased to announce that a company that wishes to be remain anonymous has kindly donated £400.00 worth of Martial arts Book to club. This is something that the club has been working very hard to achieve over the past few months to enable students not only develop in the dojo but develop their minds out of the dojo by encouraging reading books about the Fitness, Nutrition, Well Being, History and the Philosophy of martial arts.
We understand that we are one of the first clubs to do this. All the students have been very keenly looking through the list of books that have been provided. As part of this project we are creating some worksheets which maximise what each student get out of each book. This then will be accredited to their grade and in some cases rewarded with a certificate of achievement.
The book club is exclusive to EWRK members only.
Holland Haven Primary School
This week at the Holland Haven Primary School EWRK supported the school's open day. This was an exciting evening as local businesses and the local council had been invited along to attend. It was a very good opportunity to build new relationships and build on existing ones. I would like to thank the school for the invite. Thanks Jo.
Prettys Solicitors
We would like to thank Prettys Solicitors for their support. We all need legal advice at some time in our lives, and Prettys can help in most cases.
APM membership
As part of the development of EWRK Sensei Alistair Thomson has achieved Associate membership of the APM. Project management is a key skill in running any successful club and has been a fundamental skill in getting the club sponsorship.
